Challenge
In 2012, leading personal care product company decided to open 2 plants in different European countries. Dynamics AX 2009 was selected to connect and manage all business process.
Originally, another contractor located in Czech Republic was selected to implement Dynamics AX 2009 on both plants. The implementation on first plant in Western Europe was successfully completed. However, implementation on the second plant in Eastern Europe was suspended due to localisation issues and complex technical reasons. A risk of the project delays was extremely high as the implementation of the Finance, Accounting and Tax modules completely stopped.
Solution
GDC Services introduced the project recovery plan to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality of delivered Dynamics AX 2009 solution. The following solution was offered:
- Collaborative work with implementation team from Czech Republic to meet tight deadlines
- Consultations on tax and finance systems to meet their requirements
- Implementation and enhancement of the finance, accounting and tax accounting modules
- Develop a solution to align the finance, accounting and tax accounting with local legislation
- Develop a solution to standardise and merge the chart of accounts between manufacturers, suppliers and the parent production company located in Belgium
- Full support and the maintenance of Dynamics AX 2009 during all stages of the implementation project
- Empower in-house IT team to start providing a support of the system
Results
All the steps were completed, tight deadlines were met, and the project was delivered successfully. The delivered solution complied with the local legislation requirements. The delivered solution has met and exceeded all the client’s expectations. As a result, all the enterprise Business Processes are currently managed and controlled by newly implemented Dynamics AX 2009 ERP system.With high quality training provided by our experts, customer’s technical specialists started productively supporting Dynamics AX 2009. Our on-going support continues to provide additional enhancement of the ERP system.
